Multimedia Documentation of Traditional Trades and Crafts

Documenting the knowledge and skills embedded in the traditional trades and crafts of Eastern, Northern, and Up-Country Sri Lanka, and sharing them on Wikimedia and open-access platforms. Many of these invaluable traditions (shipbuilding, weaving, pottery, etc.) face loss due to modernization and lack of digital access.

Ancient Hindu Temple in Batticaloa

Ancient Hindu Temple Documentation

A collaborative effort to document the history and cultural significance of the oldest Hindu Temples situated in the Batticaloa district. The project focuses on capturing the intangible heritage before it is lost, including oral histories, traditional rituals, and architectural details.
